Canadian George V 50c auction win in the early hours

    Hello Folks,

    I stayed up until 4am UK time for this nice piece. George V 50c 1919 ICG MS 62.............I also have a NFLD 1872H in AU50.......
    but didn't think I'd be able to pick up something like this in MS 62 with my budget.....a keeper I think....bed time now!

    50 years ago, out of circulation in New Brunswick and Maine, I picked approximately 80 Newfoundland halves out of circulation. Naturally 1919 George V were the newest ones.
    Yet I never saw a Canadian half before George VI.

    Not sure if supposed to name drop but George Manz gave a retail valuation of $900 Canadian..........so very pleased i made the effort to stay up until 4am to get it.
