Hi everyone, I was wondering if these 4 uncut dollar bills were worth more than $4.00? Thanks for any help, Mrs. Egers
Due to the condition of the bottom note and some soiling, not much more. You might be able to sell them for about 2x face, but that would be about it.
Thanks for the quick reply. It is actually in perfect condition, it was framed behind glass. The only thing wrong would be the very bottom wrinkled from the frame it was in. the soil is from the camera I guess. It looks perfect in person. Thank you I will post a new picture. The one above looks bad sorry.
The wrinkling of the bottom note does detract from the overall price since it is not a one note specimen, but an uncut sheet. You basically have to take all the notes into consideration. I'd say still about the same value due to that.
oh jeeze i thought i was going crazy, i was looking at the end number instead of a number in the middle, i studied the picture for like 2 min and then it hit me
Thanks again for the reply. I posted a new pic, but I guess it doesn't make much difference. Just out of curiosity if it were not wrinkled at the bottom would it had been worth more? Thank you for your help!
The sheet looks to have damage to the lower note, bottom margin, other wise, it would typically sell for $15 to $25 if in pristine condition. 1981 was the first year the BEP started selling $1 FRN's in sheet form to the public. They sold sheets for 38 different blocks in 1981, only to be topped by 1985, when they sold sheets for 41 different blocks. They were selling the $2's to the public in 1976.
Several of the 1981 4-subject sheets are valued at considerably more than others. This H-D block sheet books for $40-$50 per note and is very hard to find. Issued in April of 1982. The H-B is also along these lines.
yes it is a nice thing to have and hold on to it may not be worth alot today but over time it may become worth alot more you never know and as it was said some are worth alot more than others http://www.ana-museum.org/1988_17_390_f.html
