Looks more like a 3 to me anyway.

    I can't see a 2, but I can definitely see a 3.

The description says it grades G4; in who's eyes? They say grading is subjective, but that's pushing it quite a bit!

It looks like an 8 to me. That is one severely problemmed coin. Why waste your $40 dollars on a coin you will not be happy with? Move on and look for another coin that is at least not damaged, corroded, holed etc.

We can't agree on grade, or even it's date. But I think we can all agree it is an Indian Cent... or was at one time.

I think if I had to give a final answer on the date, I'd say '73.

100% sure that is a 3. Hope nobody buys it thinking its a '72.

I had to do a side by side comparison of a 72 and 73 to this and really examine it carefully to see that it is indeed a 1872. But yikes, what a mess.

I'd say 72, but I can't imagine having that coin in my collection, and I'm far from a coin perfectionist. I'd be strongly tempted to throw it away if I owned it. It looks like they found it underwater or something. If this person really wants to sell it they should start the bidding at 99 cents, not this ridiculous buy it now price. There are much better 1872 Indian Heads starting way lower.

    It's 2, but G4 details? No kind-a-way.

    Don't pay $50 for a BAD piece of junk. It's a '73, and I don't collect IHCs

I think it's a 2 also. At first glance it looked like a 3 to me too, but when I studied it closer I could see where it was a 2. I proudly cast my ballot for 1872! :hail:

Yep thought it was a 3 at first, then after further study it shifted to a 2. Heck, he should have labeled it an antique prototype holographic coin for all the disagreement on the date.
