todays star find

    moneyer12 i just love UK coins.......

    hi i found this coin today at the local flea market, it is an 1858 flying eagle cent, i paid GB £3.50p for it.............

    i love the flying eagles, and i would love to get a full type set of them.

    Well that should be pretty easy. A full type set of flying eagle cents is only one coin. Of course if you mean all the coins with a flying eagle then you need a cent, a standing Liberty quarter (maybe two of them), a Gobrecht dollar, and Saint-Gaudens double eagle.

    And a Feutchwager cent (excuse the spelling).
    One of these is currently on my wish list.

    i meant the actual date set of cents, sorry if i have conveyed the wrong message

    Uhh.......actually it's three pennys..........1856, 1857, 1858.........AND you can find Large & Small letters for the 1858. But good job being a smart***.

    Key word being TYPE set. Technically it would be two (large and small date) but no need to be so jumpy.

    lol, not jumpy, just enough common sense to know the guy meant DATE, not type. Doesn't take too much of that to know the guy wasn't referring to St. Gaudens, Feutchwager, Gobrecht dollars and the like...........

    Common Cents there are plenty, Common Sense there is little.
