FYI, I almost got a new addition to my Great Britain Penny collection but once again someone sniped me better than I sniped them. Firstly, do you think there is any significance to this competitor having zero (0) bid history? I was wondering if you guys have seen this before as maybe a way for someone to buy back their own coin or somehow artificially bid-up a coin. In any event, the guy with no history got it & I have not received any second chance offer. Secondly, you can check out the beautiful Great Britain Penny that got away from me here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...1&si=TZRDnFcacSGML2W7gF1NIyD9qXs%3D&viewitem=
Too bad It's too bad but it doesn't matter if the buyer has no previous buys. You can always use a sniper software. Try gixen.com It's free and works well.
Use a sniping programme, place your highest amount you are willing to pay and wait and see, highest bidder wins. The Zero now has a One, they have to start somewhere or an old user using a new buying ID. Hard to prove shilling, you could always write down the plastic coffin (slab) number and see if it resurfaces by the same seller.
You don't need a sniping program to do that, just enter your max bid initially and eBay will proxy bid for you. The only advantage of a snipe program is the last second bid (which prevents a bidding war from developing).
You don't need a sniping program to do that, just enter your max bid initially and eBay will proxy bid for you If you use eBays Proxy bid you are showing your hand early and that is when a bidding war starts and the price gets driven up.. Snipers are the way to go, your high bid cannot be manually outbid within the last 5 seconds. I win 95% of my snipe bids and the programme is free. However, high bidder wins no matter which method you use.
