Hey everyone, I was wondering how many of you have had experience with basement slabbers? For instance, has anyone ever used NGA? I'm curious because of this auction: 1897-O morgan half dollar NGA ms66. Best
Most of the basement slabbers are also self slabbers. Some don't advertise at all, a few do but 99% or more of the coins in the slabs all come from the owner of the company. One of them which has been around since 2002, has a website, with submission instructions, but if you try and submit to them you get a reply that they are just so busy they can't take on new clients at this time. been that way for nearly ten years now.
Have zero experience with NGA, but from what I read on Coin Talk, it would go down like this; NGA = MS66 PCGS, NGC, ANACS = MS62 or Worse yet, a body bag... I personally wouldn't cause I don't need or want the drama of sending it back, and getting your CC reversed - it just isn't worth it!
