Just arrived and I am VERY pleased. Got this at a European auction, slabbed. In hand it is remarkable. Given my limited photography skills, I will make it a point to get this and others from the collection imaged properly yet here it is. This is a tougher date, and looks nicer than my MS-65 1698 Leopold having full luster and sharpness.

    1680 Leopold I (1657-1705) "The Hogmouth" Taler
    DAV-3241, Moser-Tursky-704; Vogelhuber-221/II

Very lucky.....would still love a leopold taler eventually, just sticking with kreuzer's of him at the moment. Congrats on the pickup.

Nice pickup! ...that's my favorite Taler (I've always wondered if he actually looked like that). It amazes me to think a coin that old can survive in such nice condition...Congrats :hail:

EDIT: I found this painting of him...that's quite a kisser he's got! I'll bet the artist downplayed it as much as he could.
