Coin with no writing except #1 and a date of 1895

    Well, here's one that doesn't seem to have any writing on it. Its 17mm and weighs 1.6g. It has a 1 inside of a scrolled circle and a sprig of leaves below with the date of 1895. The obverse is a Germanic type of eagle or dragon with a sword in its right talon. Above the bird appears to be a crown with banners. In the center of the bird looks like a crest of some type. It looks like German but I wasn't able to find this one in the standard catalog of World Coins 1801-1900. Picture is below...Thanks for any assistance....Bill

    Awww Chit!!!! I spent hours looking for a German Coin....I didn't even think of Austria...Oh well, someday I'll get around to getting a thinking cap...Thanks so much for the ID....Regards, Bill

    A coin from the German Empire would indeed have a country name. And the eagle would have only one head. :)
