Here are a couple things I picked up at our local coin clup meeting last evening. I saw these and they pushed my "I MUST HAVE" button. My favorite is the Edy the II penny, It is so amazing to hold a piece of medieval history. I had never seen a Soviet proof set, for 5 bucks I couldn't let it go. I need to play with lighting on that one sorry! I also picked up a couple other British proof sets as well, I'll post those at some point over the weekend. Any thoughts, information and opinions would be GREAT! Thanks! Mark
Thanks NEV! I had never seen one before and just had to have it. I need to try to get some better shots of it during the day. They really are nice coins.
Thanks Mat! I'm a real medieval history fanatic. I have never owned anything like it I may start collecting them now. I'd like to have a full set of 14th century armour but the chances of that ever happening is pretty slim LOL, coins are cheaper!
Good question! I have no idea. Also on the cardboard jacket the denom. of each coin is printed in English and Russian. Hopefully someone can answer that one for us jcak. The coins were minted in Leningrad, 1978.
Why do all those coins look familiar Mark? It's almost like I've seen them before. Nice pickups...and even better in hand. Bruce
