Hello All. First time post-long time casual coin collector. Over the years I have purchased items from the US Mint - some of them I still have the original order receipt but others I do not. I have a spreadsheet to keep track of what I have with the US Mint item number, description and purchased price. Does anyone know if there is a database/website that has this information available to the public? For example if I wanted to know the item number and original US Mint price for a "2009 Uncirculated Set". In this case the item number is U09 and Price was 27.95. I have a bunch of unknowns in my spreadsheet I'm trying to fill in..for both tracking purposes and to keep track of the amount of my original investment. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I guess I should have been keeping track of this. I thought the product number was listed on the card that inside the flap on the proof and mint sets. As far as what you paid maybe you can get annual statements from your credit card company. I download my Amex every year for tax purposes.
Welcome to CT! There has to be an site that has everything you mention (i.e. item numbers), but in the meantime check out this site for original mint issue prices for mint and proof sets: http://www.bestcoin.com/us-mint-sets.htm TC
thanks.. Excellent, thanks TopCat-that will get me part of what Im searching for. I have to agree, there has to be a site out there somewhere that lists the entire release history with item numbers and original issue prices. Thanks!
My Mint account still has the order pages from back to 2000 so if you bought online it should still be there.
Coin Update (http://coinupdate.com/) has the original mint issue prices of modern commems......Ckeck on "coin guides" at the bottom right hand side of the site. As for where to get the original item numbers, you've got me.
