Ok A.N.A.C.S. has finished Grading my Group of Coins and i looked over the list and noticed a 1931 S Buffalo Nickle with Reverse Lamination.Is this a good thing?? thanks
A lamination is just a planchet error where a bit of the metal has separated or come off of the coin.
More than likely it lowered the value of your semi-key nickel. On lesser valued coins a lamination generally increases the value due to the error. On higher valued coins a lamination is generally considered junk or a crying shame because it has hurt the value of a nice collectable coin...
