Any thoughts on this die crack? I seem to remember some kind of error about an eagle with a twig in it's mouth...heading back to the nest.
If you have 30X microscope look at the last tall feather. he signed his coins.it may make your 28 worth more as omega used 90% gold. there a market for his coins Pcgs & Ngc they both had graded a few as MS-62-64 back in the late 1980's
I've seen this eagle with straw in the beak before, i just cant place it....maybe on a Flying Eagle Cent, or a Washington Quarter....or maybe it WAS on a Saint. Im gonna find something on this cuz its bothering me.
Looks like a die crack to me, probably not much of a premium on a common Saint. There's a fair number of them out there in holders with minor "errors" listed on the holders such as strike-throughs and laminations only because those sort of coins have to be submitted under the mint error service to get graded. They tend to bring little premium as most common date Saints are traded as bullion coins.
