I get on the error coin section of Ebay each day just to see what kind of funny things I can see. Well today I found this poor seller from Ohio and I tried to tell him or her about their cents just being rotted and not error coins, just trying to be helpful. I explained how the coins after 1982 were just zinc coated in thin copper and how the zinc rots away when the copper coating gets damaged or just flakes away....He or She replied back that they were not a child and didn't like to be talked down to. I almost fell out of my chair I laughed so much. I'm going to try to post a link to one of this sellers auctions and you guys can click on sellers other items to see this awesome group of error coins. I hope I can get this link to work.

    I'm sure circulated coins in 1986 didn't have a S mint mark/ only D and P. Anyway, cool coin

True, there are those who think they have the rarest of the rarest and it is hard to change their minds.....LOL

There's a guy around here who has a double denomination error coin which he thinks is worth millions when in fact it's a couple of thousand and another guy who has a damaged canadian cent who thinks is worth hundreds of thousands....lol

Hahahahaha that was ridiculous! I may just start hitting coins with a hammer and then selling then on eBay for $10 a piece. Talk about easy money!

I am just very happy to see that no one is buying any of the coins. At least thats something... right?

Sad thing i5 that I saw a coin that had been hit with a hammer sell on Ebay for 152.00 about a week ago. Ebay buyers need to learn about coins before buying a coin off Ebay or anywhere else. I usually try to inform these sellers about the junk fakes they are robbing other folks with and sometimes it just makes the sellers mad. Do you suppose these sellers are so corrupt that they already know they are selling altered coins ?

I do suppose many, but not all, know that they are selling fakes or altered coins.

And this is why it's a shame that eBay no longer allows 3rd parties to contact bidders. I would warn people when they were bidding on fakes all the time, but eBay decided to block communication.
