Can anyone point me toward a source to date this coin and establish it's monetary value? I have seen similar coins from other provinces, but never from Kiang-See (Jiangxi) China.
    Thank you,
    Barry (CH)
PS-The color of this coin is not accurately reflected here due to lighting difficulties. It is actually a brighter copper color. Disclosure: I washed it with warm water, Dawn and a soft cloth. I know that patina is desireable, but how can you tell patina from crud?

That looks like a photo that I took. Do you have photos of your coin?

Kiang-see or Kiang-si coins are not rare. They are not dated, probably struck in the early 1900s and unless you have a scarce variety or double die, high grade and such, it wouldn't be any higher than 10 dollars.

Here are the rest of Chinese province coinage: http://www.gxseries.com/numis/china/china_province.htm

Haven't bought a Kiang-si coin as I haven't found a nice one yet and in a reasonable price.

    Hi gxseries

Thank you for your response. I just checked my email and found this notification, and your personal reply to my question from last night, at the same time.

I decided to open this one first. This IS your photograph, I used it as a representative photo, because my coin looks very similar, except for the Province name and a slight difference in the dragon.

I did, by the way, check your website for restrictions and copyrights of your photographs before I posted it here. I sincerely apologize to you if I missed any information which would have prohibited my actions.

I'll take a photo of my coin tomorrow, then delete yours and post my own. I'll have my camera set up for some gemstone photographs before noon. I'll do the coin first so that I can take your photos down.

Please check back tomorrow afternoon (EST) or when you have a chance, to let me know if there is anything about my coin that would make it exceptional. I read, possibly on your page, that TEN CASH coins were only minted for Jiangxi in 1906.

Thank you for both, this posting and your personal reply, which I will read as soon as I log off here. If you would like me to remove your photos before I have a chance to replace them with mine, tomorrow, please just let me know via either venue, and I will oblige your request immediately.

By the way, if you would are satisfied my the quality of my photos of the Kiang-See Ten Cash Coin you have my explicit permission to copy it and use it as a representation on your website. Also, you have my email address, so if you'd prefer High Def (10MP) photos, just send me a personal note and I will forward them to you.

Thank you again, for letting me temporarily use your photos, and thank you for the unofficial evaluation. I am grateful.

    Peace, and God Bless!

Thank you for the suggestion, gx, I'll check out eBay to see if my coin has any of the errors that would make it special. I would grade the quality of my coin simply as "circulated", just a little short of "well preserved".
    Peace,
    CH~
