Hello I was hoping I could get some ideas on what people think about this penny It is a 1969 D and in really great condition as far as color I don't know if it would be red or if that only counts in UC coins this is circulated The real question is the marks on the nose I do not believe they are a s cratch they are raised and they are parrellel I do not know enough to know if this is an error what type it is These are on my profile page also with other ones you can make larger carpenter1777 Thanks for your help cynthia
It's hard to tell but it looks like PMD (post-Mint damage) to me. Looks like something hit Abe's nose which created a depression and pushed up metal on the side(s) of the depression.
