I can almost guarantee that the last life forms to exist on the earth will be bacterial spores. And many ( no offense intended towards any religious believer) believe life on earth was started by bacterial spores from outside the solar system 5 billion years or so ago.. I do hope I live long enough to see ET and see if their DNA is built like ours
