Then I came across this...broadstrike?

    Just when I got my mind wrapped around MD DD and the numerous other terms I found this. Is it an example of a broadstrike? Weak strike? I really have no idea.

    A broadstrike is a coin struck outside the collar. Your coin does not look like it was struck outside the collar.
