Is there a word or name for these types of pennys?

    Is there a word or name for these types of pennys? Or are they just scratched up? thanks for any help.

    It's a little hard to tell from the angle of those pictures but they look like they could possibly be "woodies".

    A straight on picture should be able to decide. Otherwise, it's damage from circulation.

    Yup, they're woodies. Those streaks aren't scratches.

    Just a suggestion: Next time you photograph a Woodie select a background other than woodgrain. :)
