i got this in a roll off ebay, i see in the red book it is normally a good penny to have, but in it's current condition is there any way to tell if it is a bold or shallow N? And is it worth anything in this condition?
Unless I am missing something, I do not see a picture. Maybe try to edit the post and add the picture again.
No way to tell there even is an N. It might get $5 as a filler, you could check past ebay auctions for AG or Poor indian cent 1871. Isn't it the N in 'cents' we are talking about? Could you post a pic of the reverse?
unless my eyes are playing tricks on my your coin looks like an 1874. Worth much less in that condition.
bold or shallow N refers to the N in ONE on the reverse, but based on the obverse condition you have good value estimates.
