I would kill to find one roll of 40% or 90%.

I was getting about one per box for quite a while, then nickels went ice cold on me.
Probably a magicians coin or a trick coin. True double heads or double tails coins are exceptionally rare and pretty much impossible in this day and age unless someone at the mint accidentally puts two reverse dies onto the press... which just doesn't happen.

Check for a seam around the edge of the coin, or a small seam inside the rim on either side.

Picked up 8 rolls each of cents and nickels yesterday...

half from a TD by my school and half from my actual bank by my house...and once again my good old house bank came through for me

    Cents:
1 2006 cent that looks gold...I know its not worth anything at all, and its probably from some kid's experiment in science class but it looks cool lol
    1956
    1954-S

    Nickels:
    1 2005 Buffalo
    2 Louisiana Purchase
    4 Keel Boats
    5 Ocean View

    '59 x2
    '57
    '60
    '61 x2
    '63 x2
    '64 x7

    and.....

partial date 1925 Buffalo Nickel (from my actual bank)
this is the 1st dated buffalo I've found in circulation

but for those of you who haven't followed my posts in this thread...this makes I think the 6th or 7th buffalo I've gotten from this bank and in total I've gone through less than half a box of Nickels...pretty awesome if I say so myself

I've searched 15+ boxes of nickels and only found 2 Buffalo Nickels. One was dateless the other was 1937. So, I'd say they are pretty rare.

Plus, I seem to have jinxed myself on War Nix. I was spouting off about finding 5-6 per box and guess what? Last two boxes...nuthin'.

    Serves me right, I suppose.....

I told you before, I'd go there and clean out their nickel supply. Maybe I'll head up near where you live and buy $1000 in nickels. :p

Yeah, Merc, it is crazy. Things here in TX had been so slow for a while, but both Erin and I have had really good finds recently. I just hope it continues.

I also found another 1987....that's 4 of them this week.

Buffalo Nickels? I've only found two total. Not too common here.

Got stuck at work today (Surprise shifts! I hate 'em!) so another box of cents while hiding away in my office for an hour or so. I'm busy "Running the numbers and budgets!"

Lastly, a damaged and ugly 2000 WAM.

After a closer look under a magnifine glass, it was a magicians coin. I was hoping I hit the jackpot.

haha I would but the thing is the last time I went there they said they were all out of nickels and I only got like 4 rolls cuz they had 2 and a customer randomly dropped off rolls while I was there. But I'm definitely gonna try to get there a little more often and maybe try talking a deal out with them on getting them for me cuz I keep finding them in BWR that I think are part of their orders.

And mayyybbeeee you shouldn't come up and buy nickels...you keep to your territory and I'll keep to mine ;) hahahah...plus good luck finding MY bank out of all the ones in this immediate area....until I started roll searching I never realized there was so many.

Went to a BOA today and asked if I had to have an account to order a box or two of halves and also cash some ($900) that I had in rolls. Was told that I needed an account to do either. Spoke to a mgr. Minimum is $300 for no monthly charge on savings. Couldn't decide if I wanted too because I have two banks now. I'm leaning to dropping one bank aqnd going to BOA.
There is an HBC down the same street and I have to go there and check it out. Meanwhile I'm sittin' on $900 not wantin' to dump it where I order halves from. Any hints on what to do?----------------zeke

Check out TD, they offer some no minimum balance accounts, and Wachovia too

If you wrapped the coins, mark the outside wrapper with a color that will stand out. If they try to give them back to you that are marked, tell them that you have already checked them and that you wanted a new order of new ones. See how that works. Good luck. :)-O)

Was able to make one stop today. $80 in halves... 3 40%'s, one 2003, and a 61 Franklin. Haven't found one of those in a while.

Best finds in one box happened yesterday:

    26 40%-ers
5-90%-ers (one of which was an AU 1963 Frankie, my first!)

Needless to say I was very happy :)

1 '47 dime from a box, plus found a '62 quarter (once again a reject).

Makes me think it is worth hanging around a coinstar or other counting machine.

Man, Everyone in Vegas searches for silver. Guess they know the pawn shops will buy it ? I mean, I just don't find any here at all. As I said before, just 2 silver Roosevelt Dimes all last year and one of those was in a roll of cents. lol Go figure
