Hey guys. Found this in my backyard. Is it real? Estimated value?

This is either real or a good fake. Where did you recover this from? It might help determine the likelihood of authenticity. The problem is that colonial coins have been heavily reproduced as tokens without any indication of their being reproductions. It doesn't look like a poor fake so that's a big step in the right direction.

My guess on value if authentic is around $100 due to the pitting on the Obverse and probable porosity. Getting that from a non collector of colonials might take some effort though. I've seen many in miscellaneous discount boxes, though usually in worse states of wear.

I'm with Marshall, it looks like it has a good chance of being real.
