I recently started collecting coins from Indonesia, China and Hong Kong. I was wondering if anybody has any experience grading these coins, or if there are any online or in print resources?

I think you grade them just like other coins of the same era & type of manufacture. If you are looking a a die struck coin dated 1922, then morph it into a coin that you may know (like a 1922 US dollar) and just grade it like you would have graded the dollar.

Obviously, if it is a cast coin or a coin that is 1000 years old, then you may not find it easy to equate it to an equivalent Canadian or USA coin.

In general world coins historically have been graded stricter than US coins. I would use the same grading effort to grade them as US coins, then deduct half a grade. That has always gotten me in the ballpark.
