What is the equal dollar cents value of one Euro? I delivered a dozen eggs the other day but wasn't paid for them, so he gave the neighbor 1 Euro and said it was worth $1.30 or $1.40. Unfortunately I can't buy chicken feed with it...
If you really don't know how much €1 is in your local currency, try a site such as www.xe.com ... Christian
Given that that euro is a coin, you can't exchange it at a US bank, and unless you go to a Eurozone country to spend it, the most you can probably get for it from a dealer is $1.10 or so.
Maybe I am wrong, but somehow I got the impression that the question in the initial post was not all that serious. Chicken, eggs and all. Christian
Thats not entirely true. The Chase bank here will exchange most world currency. Not only will the give you US money for other currencies, but you can use US currency to buy world monies. I know this because my daughter is going to Europe in a few months and I bought her $500 worth of Euros there a few weeks ago. The only catch is you have to be a Chase customer. Guy
Yea I was just wondering the value because I was under the impression that a euro was almost equal to a cent, wrong again, lol...
Used to be pretty normal here in the euro area too. But hardly any banks here would exchange foreign coins; I only know one that does that in DE, and they charge a commission of about a third ... Christian
Do they handle Euro coins? I'm not talking about paper money, since a lot of banks will exchange paper money.
Seems you mix the euro and its sub-unit cent up. Last time the euro was less than a US dollar was about nine years ago. http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=EUR&to=USD&view=10Y Christian
