1885-O Morgan Dollar PCGS MS66 - My Newest Coin

Got this Morgan off eBay for $340 last Friday. The entire coin has great luster, although it is hard to see from the photos.

Purdy toning. Shame it isn't a better strike...

Awesome original toning and what a nice grade it was given! The toning gives the coin a proof like appearance. Is there much luster on it below the toning? I can't tell from the photograph. Congratulations on you new addition to your collection. I'm a Morgan buff myself and if I could afford it I wouldn't think twice about adding it to my collection.

 

It's an 1885. Good year (Relatively) for New Orleans in terms of Morgans and strike quality.

 

That is some beautiful toning.....I'm not huge and crazy over Morgans but I would've paid that price for that one. Simply beautiful.

I was just gonna say it's actually pretty well struck for an O Mint morgan. Nice toning.

ive seen a high amount of 85-O morgans with exquisite toning and that one is has a great strike also.

heres my 2 85-O. didnt really have the right setup to be taking pics but they still came out nice.
