eBay Shennanigans: "broken out of a PR64 holder"

    The site worked fine for me. I realize it is a PCGS pay site, but you don't have to pay to see that particular coin if you are visiting for the first time.

    If this is a coin shop I doubt I live far from it. I'm in the western suburbs of Illinois and thats where he shows his location. This guy must be looking for someone that's green.



    After I posted this I saw he most likely only has the Ebay Store.

    Most of them are now. Seems very few can afford to pay the rent on a brick and mortar.

    As I understand it, the primary purpose of a brick and mortar coin shop is to provide a place to buy from people rather than a place to sell. It's hard to get people walking in off of the street to sell you their grandfather's collection at firesale prices if you don't have a store location.

    I thought most of those guys were carpet baggers. An ad in the paper, craigslist and on bulletin boards around town and forget the monthly lease. I think the ones that still remain here in Las Vegas are also pawn brokers and payday lenders.
