Is this a 1956 D Lincoln Variety?

Hi all. I'm pretty new to collecting and I found this odd looking penny. The "D" is very high compared to the others. I googled D over D and saw how the D shadow is usually below the regular D. I think the penny might be worn so that the shadow is no longer visible. In any case, the D is well above where it should be. I also found one that looks like it might have a double D but I'm not so sure about that one. If the "High D" variety I have is real, would it still be considered "D over D" if the shadow is not visible?

3 pics: 1st of a regular "D" (I know you know what it looks like but I posted it anyway for reference. 2nd of the "High D". 3rd of the possible doubled D (probably just been hit by something).

    Thanks in advance!

Any way to get clearer pics?
That last photo makes it look like a die break.

I need to play with my camera some more and I'll get some more later. What do you think about the "high D" in the second picture? Would you consider this the "D over shadow D"?

I agree with lincolncent that, absent a better pic, that might be a die chip. Here's a web site to search for mint mark varieties to match up with your coins. http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php

I looked and nothing caught my eye. One was close but still some differences. Idr which one. It was on page 2 of a 1956-D mintmark variety search.
