Well, I finished my week off will my 6th day in a row finding silver. By far a record for me. Though the fact that Erin keeps finding killer finds in my own area haunts me, LOL, my little streak has been fun.

Today I visited 6 or 7 banks including driving out into the country to find small town banks (before Erin gets 'em, :) ). Nada. Not even any half dollars. So, I picked up two boxes....Box one was a skunk and box two had 5 40%ers and one MS 1962 Franklin :D with almost FBL. It is a beauty. I had quite a nice week M 7, T 17, W 62, T 4, F 13, S 6 with 5 Frankies in the mix. That is a monster week for me considering there are many weeks, when I'll have zip or a couple of 40%ers to show for it.

Last time I was in my dump bank, I filled the bag and saw a bunch of Frankies in it when they were changing it out. I asked to buy it and they of course refused! I told my daughter we ought to buy a Coinstar and let people pay US to take their change off their hands...

I can't ever get an Ikes, let alone cash in on a bunch of Morgs and a seated lib. I BOUGHT a seated lib once, does that count?

I know it is not roll searching but I did get a 1919 wheat penny in my change this morning. Yesterday hit up a few banks for some half dollars got found about $55 dollars worth but no silver. I did also pick up 4 Ike dollars at one of the banks thats 8 Ike dollars this week.

Well, I took the day off on Thursday and WAS heading out to numerous banks that I called which had halves available. It was 8:30am and I was stopped at a light when somebody going 55MPH hit me from behind. Both vehicles were totaled and both of us went by ambulance to the hospital. It was 100% her fault and ruined my roll-searching day. I have severe whiplash, but was very fortunate to not be injured worse.

So on Friday, with my neckbrace on, I picked up 3 $500.00 boxes.
    Box one-7-40%
    Box two-1=40%
    Box three-NOTTA

Today, I had one $500.00 ct box which also resulted a NOTTA.

Hopefully, I feel better to where I can drive and go to the banks a ways away that I had planned on.

Glad you were ok, I'm sure heavy listing was NOT on the list of things to be doing in a neck brace haha

My daughter is helping me carry some of the heavier bags. After that incredible bag on Monday and the solid bag Tuesday, I really want to go on a long roadtrip!! I can smell silver in these little towns!!

Wow, glad you're alright, was wondering why you never reported back. Maybe it's a sign from the lord that you need to send any silver you find to me. :p

JJDEMARAY wow that's totally crazy, glad your alright.

but who woulda thought coin collecting would turn into one of the world's most dangerous hobbies...

    1) Skydiving
    2) Cliff Diving
    3) Mountain Climbing
    4) Roll Searching

    lol

Only the hardcore hobbyists like JJDEMARAY would come back to the sport days after such an injury...I can see this ending up on TruTV on one of those Most Extreme Video shows lol

JJDEMARAY that's a crazy story, glad your ok.

You know, skunk boxes, marked coins, and even short bags\rolls are part of CRHing and I don't mind but, what's below low is painting rims silver. I've gone through three boxes and some Jack has painted a bunch of the rims silver. Soon as I think I'm about to bust out of my skunk streak I find it's a 74 with a painted rim :(

My girlfriend did the impossible... Got a wells Fargo to order a box of halfs.... Be as it may that she works for the branch that ordered it and had to ask a manger to do it as a favor to her that as it was going to be my valentines gift...

I've tried asking 8 different W.F. to order halfs and never any luck ...

When she got off work earlier we went through the box and found 6 nifs 1 x 1964 1x1950 and 2x 40%ers

NIFC - "Not Intended For Circulation"

These are business strikes made only for collectors. They are not distributed to banks. I think all halves from 2002 to the present are NIFC.

Hope you stay ok. My son got clipped in the right rear of my truck by someone exiting a parking lot Minor damage, but the twist on his back ruptured his lowest disk. Looks like it needs surgery to repair it. The ticketed driver that hit him had only 15k worth of insurance.

I think if you are going to talk on the phone and try to drive, you should be required to carry a minimum insurance of 1M. IMHO

    Moonshine ....................

    Good box of halves today....10 40%ers, 1 90% and 3 NIFCs.

After reading Aggie's story, I asked the woman who was emptying the bag (which I tried to get a good look at) if they would sell me a bag from the machine if I wanted it and was told I couldn't since they have to send the bag back and numbers-blah-blah-blah.
