Hello i just found a 1913 buffalo nickel in circulation and i have never seen one before so i would like to get an idea of its value and i dont know what the F mint mark under the date is. Also i have a 1983 dime that i found years ago and it seems to have a copper ring around the outside of it and i have no idea what it is. any ideas?

WOWOWOW. That's an amazing buff Nick to find in circulation. The "F" is not a mintmark, but the engravers initials. The mintmark is under the "FIVE CENTS" on the reverse... no mintmark means it was made in Philly. That looks AU or MS-ish, so probably worth $20 or so. Killer, absolutely killer find.

The dime was in an industrial dryer of some sort. Post-mint damage and no added valuve.

The Mercury Dime has been cleaned (damaged) and the 1983 dime was actually damaged by a method called spooning. An industrial dryer would have caused the wide rims.
