i recently bought 5 grab bags of world coins from a car boot sale and due to work and baby duties i have only just had a chance to start sorting through them. here are a few of my faviourites ive found so far, i will post more as and when i find them, all the best
let me preface this with I live in the western US...is a car boot sale just some guy selling stuff out of his car boot? (we call them trunks). I have never seen this go on here in the states.
Portugal, Belgium, British Borneo (thought the French controlled this colony!?!), & France? Neat coins!
guess you guys would call it a flea market, they are a big deal over here. one near me attracts 1000s of people every week end and you can get some great bargins
Right on thanks! We have been watching a lot of your TV last year or two and we hear that term from time to time. It aways made me think of some guy in an alley selling stuff from his boot that fell off a truck. :too-funny:
i forgot to mention that the bags, each with around 20-30 coins in cost me £1 each and i got all 5 bags that he had so it was £5 total. to be honest i would of paid £5 just for that beautiful portugeuse coin.
wash your mouth out................north borneo has never been a french colony, it is also now part of the malaysian federation.
