I was looking at a Dansco album I have, Canadian type set. A really cool out of print album. I was seeing some glaring holes and thinking to myself that I have a paypal balance. Anybody else see the connection here? In my excitement I bid on two silver dollars from Canada, a 1935 and a 1936. They look pretty nice. I know, I know, I should have looked BEFORE I bid, but I didn't. I noticed the seller has a feedback score of 4, with a negative. I also noticed one of the feedbacks came from someone with the username chinaman. Do these look okay? Should I be asking seller to cancel my bid? Should I be retracting my bid?

They look legit to me..the glaring holes are not actually holes..if you google 1935 Candian Dollar you will notice they are part of King George's jacket..The seller calls them "Great Condition", they're not bad but IMHO they arent great either.. If you dont like them then dont/stop bidding on them. I wouldn't retract on a bid on something that is your fault because you didnt do your homework. If you happen to win them then bite the bullet and learn from this lesson.

I'm fine with my bids as long as they're real. I wouldn't retract based on buyers remorse.

They don't appear to be fake. They do appear to be cleaned, however.

The "glaring holes" he mentioned were in the album, not the coins.

Nothing jumps out at me that would say fake.

The 1935 Dollar that he never sent the other guy is the one you just won... wow, that is too funny.. Look at the Obverse circular stain by the R in REX. You just bought the coin he never sent the other guy... ROTFL and it has been whizzed to death!!!

Yes, the glaring holes are in the album, not on the coins. I don't particularly mind if they have been cleaned, just as long as they are real. I didn't win them yet though, they still have 3 1/2 days left. Thanks all for the input, I'm feeling a little bit better.

I think they are real just cleaned. Not the question comes will you get them if you win, which I doubt you will if the current bid is your max bid.

Aye, that is true. You can get your money back any time you do not receive an item or if what you receive is Significantly Not As Described (SNAD) <---- which covers just about everything as far as PayPal is concerned! If you do not like it you can ALWAYS get a refund, eBay's Template offering no refunds is a joke.
