If I recall correctly Eliza Johnson's coin was supposed to go on sale by the mint in early March. Today I checked the schedule and she wasn't there at all. Finally found her down at the bottom listed TBD. Any ideas why?
Can't say . It all has to do with product scheduling and with the mint for the first time in it's history geared up for releasing the annual sets earlier than ever before may have something to do with the undetermined release date . I truly applaud this series and wished that they had made them more affordable for the average young collector. Assembling a complete set of the series will be a tremendous achievement and without question one of the most sought after collections for generations to come.
They make a bronze medal version of all of the First spouse coins. That is a very affordable way to collect these. I bought a brass version of all of the liberty series because the gold was completely out of reach
I started off buying the gold but after putting a pencil to the total cost, my plans changed. I'll probably buy the medals at the end of the program.
It's a bit late as they have stopped selling the first 2 years spouse medals. yes, I know, I expected them to make them forever as well, but they stopped making the 2007 designs in 2009
