Barber Quarter - please grade.

    That one looks pretty nice, assuming it is genuine, problem free etc. I say ms 63

    Really a tough one! The obverse leads me to believe this coin is AU55 and cleaned because of the surface. It could well be MS with some bagmarks. Really needs to be graded in-hand but my gut feeling is AU55 - cleaned.

    I really hope you are wrong about it being cleaned. I really don't see a cleaning on it. But then again, it is hard to tell from a picture.
    I agree it may be AU, and I paid accordingly. It was marked as MS/UNC of course.
    I guess we will see when I receive the coin.

    The surfaces do not look natural. I don't see any luster. I suspect the coin has been been polished or whizzed.

    Well if thats the case when I receive it, I will return it. The seller has a return policy and great feedback with not one negative. So it's not a total loss I suppose. I paid $100 for it.

    AU with a touch of Carnuba applied.. (polished)

    AU cleaned. lots of lines/nicks on the obverse.

    AU53-55 details, hairlined from a cleaning, were it whizzed I wouldn't expect some of those contact marks to be as sharp, of course I don't have it in hand.
