Wow I have probably 6-8 1943 cents but they're all pretty grungy looking...that one is a beauty great luck on that one

Hit up another new bank today and got 5 rolls nickels and 4 rolls pennies...this one didn't have rolls of halves either...I really wish I could find a bank that had them

Several banks, lots of clad, one 1964... teller realized what it was after she dropped it front of me and checked the date. Rolled her eyes but didn't say anything. Doing some cents now.

What banks are you going to that have the halves in rolls?

I've tried a TD by my school and a Wachovia near my house but they said they didn't have rolls...and I highly doubt my M&T has them either...haven't asked at the PNC by my house tho

  6. TD rarely has halves. I actually tried getting pennies from them the other day. Fresh out. I guess I gotta cut back on my roll searching. Or I'll try other banks

the other day at M&T they were totally out of nickels and barely had pennies....but then she found 2 rolls hidden and I lucked out as some lady went thru the drive thru and dropped off some rolls of coins to deposit so I got them.
I never realized before it was possible for a bank to be out of money haha

Banks only order coinage at least once a week I think...probably depends on their size and the number of business accounts that they cater to.

They were out when I went on a Friday close to closing...so I'm guessing that's why, and my bank is pretty small too

After my worse box of nickels, I searched a box and found my best box to date.

    War Nickels: 43P- 2
    44P-1

    and 1- 1930 buffalo.

    8- from the 1940's and
    8- from the 1950's

I don't share my secrets with the competition. :)

FWIW, I rarely find rolls, everything I got today was loose.

    Box of cents results;

    1920
    1925 x2
    1940 x2
    1941
    1944 x2
    1946
    1949
    1952-D
    1953-D
    1956 x2
    1957-D
    1958

About 10 Canadians, almost exclusively 50's and 60's, and one nice 1962-D with a good amount of RD.

Finished with my 5 rolls nickels and 4 rolls pennies...

    3 wheats (1950, 1944, 1940)
just under a whole roll worth of pre-1982

    6 - 1960-65
    1951
    1959
    1943 (my 2nd war nickel)
a few keelboats, ocean views, and Louisiana purchase

Kind of disappointing aside from the war nickel but ehhh whatever

  13. That's weird. Most banks (mine included) receive shipments on Fridays

haha I wasn't expecting specific bank locations, lol just wondering what branches usually carry them lol...if there are branches that consistently carry rolls regardless of specific location..

since apparently TD never does, and I'm guessing M&T and Wachovia as well

hmmm I thought I read somewhere that someone said their bank got them on mondays...so I assumed most banks did so as well. Maybe I was just unlucky....or my bank sucks haha

There is a PNC near me that ALWAYS has at least $500 worth of BWR with the tellers, maybe more that that. I think another person orders them, so I kind of mooch off of that sometimes. That is the only bank I know of that has non-CWR on hand.

TD in PA won't order halves any more, I know that. I can tell ya I order my halves from two TD banks near my house that are in DE. I dump in PA, so even if you did order some from TD in PA, there's a good chance you'll get my dumps, which are unmarked, so...

Most TD's around here receive their shipments Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, depending on the week and how busy that particular location is. I'm not too sure about the other branches.

  18. I'm sorry, but I'm drawing a blank here. What are BWR and CWR?

Bank Wrapped Rolls vs Customer Wrapped Rolls (I presume).

Customer wrapped rolls have a slightly higher chance of having older coins (IMO).

  20. Ah. I've always received my coins in the Brinks Security boxes. I usully pull decent numbers with them

Went to the bank today to pick up a box of nickels which turned out to be a skunk....but I did see a 1964 quarter in the tellers tray and when i asked for that they told me they also had a silver dime 1951....so the day wasnt a total lost.
