    Hmm...

    1 neutral;
    "good selection but beware i found a 1998 lincoln cent this are recent rolls"

    And 1 negative;
    "Description misleading. Coins not put away 50 Yrs ago... all common, fair cdtn"

    From these boxes out of 26 sold...

    Another one, a positive said;
    "Mostly 40s and 50s but fun to look through"

    Yet another positive;
    "Fast shipping - a lot of common coins though."

    Another;
    "after sorting- 19 rolls 40s-50s and 1 roll pennies older than 1940"

    More like this in the positive reviews... just read 'em. If you want a roll of pre-40's and 5 IHC's to go along with 19 rolls of wheats, I'll sell 'em to ya for half that price.

    Scam. Spending $95 to get $10 in wheats from s tranger saying they're unsearched? I think you're overpaying by $85. Look at his feedback, you have a bunch of unhappy customers who found nothing but common dates and said these coins were definitely NOT put away 50 years ago. Be careful with these bull**** stories that sellers are giving you on ebay, or you'll find yourself spending $100+ on a roll of pennies "from the bank that great grandma put away during WWI and starved while storing these coins for 90 years" that happen to have the shiniest 1909 VDB pennies on both ends. It happens every single day, and people get suckered by the hundreds.

    Yeah, this looks like a mass buyer of wheats who just sends them off to be wrapped in $10 boxes... or has a wrapping machine himself. Not really uncommon.

    Look around on Cointalk for a thread that someone started yesterday called "Another ebay scam" or something along those lines... a guy bought what looked like 240 coins all packed in individual 2x2 flips, all labeled and identified with a country, year, grade, price, everything, in a nice red box... paid like $140 for them on ebay. Then got them, realized all the coins are worth just a couple cents each and are modern junk, and is upset that he paid $140 for it and that the seller won't refund him or allow him to return anything. Personally I think the number 1 rule in this hobby is "know exactly what you're buying."

    Rhino I did see that thread and I know that seeing everything that we are buying is crucial but sometimes I do enjoy the mystery of not knowing what I could find. That is what makes roll searching so fun.

    I wouldn't pay more than $0.03 or $0.04 each. The coins are almost certainly picked over.

    Absolutely, billy, I totally understand the mystery in searching. But it's just buying it from a seller on ebay who specializes in selling this story that bothers me, it's so much safer to buy from a bank at face value. I enjoy the mystery, but I don't like "buying" that mystery for an 800% premium.
