Hey Grim, How's it going. :smile A heck of a lot of history and memories in those notes I bet. How'd you come by these? Any interesting story about how or from whom you picked these up? Have you looked up the names to see if these were service personnel, and maybe where they served? Hawaii perhaps. Very intriguing.

Nice, funny you would post these because I just bought my first and probably only Black Eagle for a way discounted price because it had writing on it. Since Im not a real big currency guy I thought it made it more interesting!

    Thanks For Sharing

Krispy , these are a new found passion I would guess !! None of these are family related , just pick them up here and there when I can afford them !! Absolutely love these things for there history . Wish I knew what ships , subs , airplanes , or whatever battles they actually went through !! Haven't looked up names yet , just been trying to cipher them out !!

Here's a piece of Allied Military Currency that I have. Always wondered if it went through the hands of some who took part in Operation Husky, the allied invasion of Sicily – July 10 – August 17, 1943. I've always assumed the person used the denomination to create the date when they signed this, hence 2 October 1943.
