I just got outbidded on and ebay auction. It was a set of 3 1943 cents, one from each mint. They were self graded at f-vf. I decided that the price was going up higher that what i personally thought they were worth. The sale ended as $2.25+$1.50 shipping. I was just wondering what you thought of this; good or bad deal?

Red book would price the set (if graded Vf) at only 1.40. I would end up saying bad deal. Even in Au the coins wouldn't price to 3.75.

Bad deal, you should be able to do much better. Have you looked at any online sites for them?

    Horrible to me.
Why buy such a low grade one when it costs much less for a nicer one.

Ditto Duke, you could easily find them in a higher grade for the same money

  7. I usually get them from my coin dealer for about $12 for a roll, mixed mintmarks, around f-vf.

Many sellers offer their coins cheap and set the shipping charge so they break even, any bid over 10 cents is gravy on the cake.

Well I just found on ebay a set of 3 that are in about uncirculated or uncirculated for the same price. Im thinking I'll just go with these instead.
