    Hey guys,

As the Title says I found a Series 2004 A $10 star note with serial GG 00008121 that is lightly circulated, very crisp, and has a slight fold in the center. You can see where is was folded, probably loosely, but it lays flat and looks good. I know very little about paper currency. I was wondering what the value would be? Thank you.

Currently, being a more recent issue, face value given the wear and common nature of new notes. The SN is a great find and I'd hold onto it despite the wear. Usually, newer series are not going to command much of a premium over face unless they are in GEM grades or from and exceedingly limited run, particular error or other type of fancy SN. Try to post a scan of both sides of the note if you can, it will help us assess the grade better.

This first note is the LOWEST 2004A $10 Chicago Distict note I've ever seen in any condition (CH-CU or Circulated).......

...and this next note is from the lowest known pack (to date) of any of the 2004A $10 Chicago District Star notes......

I have yet to see any 4-digit 2004A $10 Chicago stars, NICE FIND !!

Here is the FRN that I found. Not a currency collector...yet. :) This might just peak my interest!

Thanks for the scan SoaringEagle. The note appears to be in XF condition. I only have experience in uncirculated versions of your example, but would guess it to be worth $20 to $25, because of the low serial number.

    Thanks Steve for the info!

Oops Krispy....Didn't see the request for both sides. Here you go. These two pictures show the flaws in different ways so I thought best to include them both. Thanks again guys!

Thanks for the pics. Has the obvious light circulation issues you mentioned, a few bumps, rounded corners, crease, and whatnot but not too terrible.

    Nice find!

Overall a nice find. The condition coupled with the low serial star should make the note worth a decent premium in a bit. I agree around $20-$25 now, but in a few years, who knows!
