Nice coin! Based on the pics, MS-63/ 64.

Nice bright coin even with a few spots of tone on the shield side. I say 65 on this one.

Have you read the article on this coin in the Feb 2011 ANA Numismatist yet? (Page 29)

Do you have the 1920 Maine Centennial commem yet?

Haven't gotten the most recent issue of the Numismatist yet Chris. I know it's available on-line but I always wait for the hard copy. I'll await the tactile publication....:)

The 1920 as yet has eluded me. Made a few stabs but, as of late, have remained empty handed....:)

Oh Ken! I thought with a screen name like yours, you would have taken your ANA membership the ECO route. ;)

The online Numismatist has recently had a nice refresh with new features, and all issues back to 1/2009 are available online too! :thumb:

Screen name is not par with environmental issues Chris. :)

Tree huggers will hate me but let them throw stones....

The whole darn numismatic hobby isn't on par with such issues, mining and refining PMs sure don't help much, neither does mail ordering and shipping items around save anything. I try to do what I can to keep the ANA membership fees down by using the online versions, if it saves some trees along the way that's great too.

Nice coin....I'll say MS64.....one of my favorite early commem designs!

  10. Ken: Another great Classic Commemorative pick up! I see no reason why this is not a 65. If so, IMO it was undergraded. Enjoy. TC

    Nice coin.
    Looks original.
After a quick look I only saw one mark.
I think MS-65 is quite reasonable.

    hamman88 Spare some change, sir?

More like the, "OMG my eyes are bleeding from staring at the screen" route.

Nice clean coin by the way. :thumb:
