I found a dime today that is thinner than a regular dime. Also it is not stamped regularly where you have an indent, this one is smooth around the edges on both sides & it does effect the detail of the pic on the front along with a portion of the writing not pressed & cannot make out the date, the same error is on the back side, the outside area is smooth, barley see the writing & the detail of the pic is not there. It does not appear to be smooth on the edge, it has the indentation lines around the dime itself but the whole dime is thinner. Not sure if the picture does it justice in comparing it to a regular dime. http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t226/krstnvnc/dimedifference001.jpg also direct to link to see if you are able to zoom in closer. The pics don't do it justice, at least I don't think so. Thanks for your input. I'm new to this so be gentle with me. BTW, nice to meet you all, my name is Kris
Zoomed in I still can't see it too well, but I think it was damaged post mint, possibly stuck in some machinery and spun for a while.
Thanks for the response. But if that is what happened & it made it into cirrculation is there any value thats attached or is it just a dime?
