1879 CC GSA Morgan What do YOU grade it?

    This coin has arrived at NGC and is scheduled for grading on an express order so early next week we will have the result.

    Would say in the 62 range

    I'll say MS 63. The marks on the face are distracting but are not too deep. The reverse is much nicer and it should hold it to a 63.

    generally obv have more weight, could grade either 62 or 63.

    I think it's a 62 but think it will get a 63 on the holder. TPG'ers seem to like a better date more and it looks like those marks are light and not deep.

    MS-62. Too many bag marks to go higher. But, especially with a 79 CC; you may get the "key date boost".

    It looks to me like that chunk at 2 o'clock on the reverse is just the packing material from the GSA case

    Just got the grade back.

    MS62

    Exactly as I expected.
