The type twos can be worth north of a hundy if they're in MS... I just sold a low-AU to someone here for $40.

I found 2 of them in my last box. Both were 81 Ds. I wonder if it was something in the planchets ?

  6. 7 wheats in $4? Wow, that's really good. I average maybe 13-15 per box of $25

Dimes; 1 silver roosie, one goddamn Bermuda, ugh.
    Nickels; 1 '43-P (Goddammit, where's the '43-D???) 1 1978 Swiss 20 rappen, 1 Canadian, and 1 more Bermuda.
Half a box of cents; BU '63, '44, '52-D, '55, '55-D. Three Canadians too, subpar copper box.

Sorry, but I see no reason to censor myself. If the forum administrators feel the need, they can add whatever word offended you to the list of stuff that gets censored.

May I ask why you think I should "watch my language"? You sound like my mother when I was 15 and I let one slip.

Been reading this thread and sez to my self "I think I will try that". Goes to the bank today and sez to the cute teller "Got a roll of halves?" Sez she "Nope, I sure don't, facts is I only have one in my drawer." Sez I "I'll take it. I have a grand child who doesn't know what half looks like." Jus to give credence to my crazy request.

One 1960 P Benny, not badly worn. Think I will try that excuse another time or two.

Been in a rutt for the most part so I decided to go check my "honey hole" bank. I only go to this bank about every 5-6 weeks but it has never let me down. I had never gone to it during the week as normally I only go to banks not by my house on Saturdays. Anyway, $70 in CWR yielded:

    1 1962
    7 1964
    52 40%'ers
    1 1982S

Mucho fun for my kids to go through tonight. It is crazy to me that this one bank can have so much silver...I mean do they have a bunch of customers that have silver to turn in or is some kid slowly cashing in dad's coins little by little so he won't notice? lol

Wow, nice haul Erin. I haven't had any big finds of late......And, of course, you'll want to keep this "honey hole" secret all to yourself (I know I would, LOL).

    Congrats!

And Johnnyflesh....GREAT nickel box. Nice job!

Hehe, yeah I have gone to this bank about a dozen times over 18 months and all but once they had silver. I only go from time to time as the tellers have told me no one else ever comes in asking for halves so basically, the lady says they just sit in the vault until I show up. If only all banks worked like this lol.

I finally did good today! I bought $6 worth of loose halves and found, a 1943-d walking liberty, 1952, 52-d, and a 63-d franklin, 2 1964's, and 3 1967's! This is my biggest score yet! The teller also had 1947 roosie that I picked up! SWEET
