What with the CC block that would have been a killer radar if only the nines were double like so: C 0419 9140 C
It's not a true radar but I've seen people on auctions passing them off as such. A true radar is the same forwards as backwards which your note isn't.
sorry, couldn't read that in the pic. even more painful that it's not a CC then. keep looking, you were darned close!
it's really close to a radar, but no cigar. It's pretty cool though. I actually was lucky enough to find myself a radar. This is the only one I own/have seen in person:
I was lucky enough to pick up two VERY similar notes. One is a RADAR, and the other a REPEATER, and in some circles they are even considered binarys. ...and I LOVE the GEM centering also.
Fantastic notes guys!!! I am yet to acquire a radar myself... so many interests too little $$$... Sigh...!
Don't give up hope, Krispy! I found mine one day when my mother let me look through her wallet for anything interesting. You just gotta get lucky
Thanks! I scrutinize every note that passes through my hands. I'm better at finding stars I guess. Something good comes from it, eventually it will be a radar! If not I can always search for a sweet graded note like those above. :smile
I also agree that Ikandiggit's 03000030 notes are simply remarkable ... especially the 1977 Dallas notes.
There isn't much of a "set" value, as far as I know. it varies greatly depending on type of radar, condition, denomination and series.
Hm....Then let's just say like a typical circulated bill in very good condition with a normal serial number. Are these notes highly sought after by collectors? I am new to paper currency collecting. So I want to keep my eyes pealed for any interesting notes.
