1916 new penny, is it fake?

    i think that it might be a chinese fake, or someone did a bad job cleaning or attempted to tone the coin? any help would be appreciated

    I think that the "dip" he is talking about is a bit stronger than acetone. EZ dip is thio-acid solution.
