Merc: That is crazy that you have found 3 09 VDBs lately. Weird!

Today I stopped at a couple of banks and received 25 bucks or so in halves. I found 1 40%er.

I also got in change (from a bank) a 1966 25 centavos from the Phillipines. It looked silver, but I looked it up on the internet and it appears to be a mix of copper, nickel and tin.

I can't believe Merc has found the 09 VDB's either....

It looks like the FEV Ike is 71 D by the way...I checked the Ike Group site

 

I found an 188x IHC about 2 months ago.. really beat.

I'll take that over the VDB I got today, haha.

Yeah, I know... Wonder what's next?

got a hold of another box of halves and got skunked ... I have 4 boxes of halves on order which should arrive the 1st so till then i'll search pennies

 

went through 6 rolls of halves, got 1-40% and a 1987 proof. whoopie

 

Friendly eagle? I thought I'd heard them alll... but what's that?

 

Yeah, I've found rolls and rolls of bicentennial's before. Some people held onto those just because they were different.

As far as I know, there aren't any special bicentennial errors to look for - anyone encounter something worth looking for?

 

only cent worth mentioning in ther last box was an 82 D with a triple struck 2. Sent a pic for verification.

2 boxes of halves the other weekend. Nothing. Half of one box was all 2001, really nothing. Will try again in a few weeks.

 

Tried that for "JFK friendly eagle" didn't pull up anything. I see that there's a friendly eagle for the Ike, but anything for the JFK (which I read the response to be about)?

 

Not that I know of....the FEV was supposed to be for the Ike's...Ike's surprising have a lot of varieties too bad the only ones I think I have found have to do with differences in the small globe above the eagle...

 

My response was directed towards slamster and his Ikes, sorry I wasn't clear about that.

Any 1972 type 2's, slam?

 

Uhhhh probably...I tried looking through them a while ago...I'm sure I have some...some of the ones that are in 2x2s are labeled type 2 but I did that when I was like 12 and I have no idea what that means now haha. I have approx 3 rolls and I think some are type 2's. I always get confused when I look through them. Remind me to look when I go home again haha

I suck at finding most of the varieties...Lincoln cents included...I need to invest in a loupe
