Good afternoon fellow collectors and friends It has been some time since I posted here. I have been busy with the whole baby thing and I will be welcoming a new member of the family any day now. Never the less I have been productive even though I have been busy and have found some stunning coins. Here are two I would like to show you that stand out. The first one is this 2 Krónur from the year 1925 KM#4.1. Mint: Den kgl. Mønt Denmark Diameter 28 mm Weight: 9,5 g Material: 92% copper, 6% aluminium, 2% nikkel Edge:milled. Obversde Icelandic coat of arms without supporters. very few samples of this coin known in this condition less then ten that I know of. Now the next one is a error coin, Even with this small clip it´s the only one I know of from that denomination and year. All coins from the year 1922-1942 are very hard to find with any kind of errors. They seem to have been destroyed or lost. I have spent alot of time searching for errors from the kingdom era and I own 4 now. The best part is that i got it on ebay for 2.40 USD. You can guess I smiled alot that day. Well that´s it hope everyone is well Siggi
Great find on ebay with that last one. I love your photos by the way, they are very nicely illuminated. Could you take a minute to describe your photography set up?
Thanks Hamman, The photography is simple. Any camera with Macro settings and daylight from your window. I use Photoshop for some details but you should be able to take the same photos on your window sill. The best lighting for coins is daylight. Siggi
Siggi! Congrats on the birth of your child! :hail: And of course your collection and new additions therein are the tops! Thanks for sharing and dropping by CT.
Thanks ikandiggit, I was very pleased getting that coin Thank you krispy, We are still waiting for our boy to show up. Should be any day now Thanks Leadfoot appriciate that
Siggi.....That 1925 2 Kronur is the best one I have ever seen,,,,,It looks a little better then mine which graded a MS-63 by NGC. I would say yours would grade a 65 or even a 66,,,If you ever get tired of looking at that coin ,,,you know how to reach me.
I like your find and congrats on your new Baby ,I also agree with you on your lighting its even better with antique Jars...
