I got 5 rolls of pennies and 2 rolls of nickels.
In the pennies, got three wheat pennies.
    In the nickels, a 1956 and a 1943-P

I think this was a good day!

proofs2.jpg Stopped in to pick up 6 rolls of CWR half dollar rolls and made off with someones silver and clad proof collection!!!! Out of these rolls I picked up every clad proof up to 2005 except for 94,95 and 04 all mint!!!! Also 7 silver proofs 68,69,70,96,98,03 and 01. Also a BU silver Bicentennial, 1970d, 7 Walking libertys and 5 40%ers from 65-67 that look like proofs but I do not think the mint made proofs for 65-67??? WOW what a #$%*ing RUSH!!!!!!!!!!! These coins are beautiful!!! Also 2 rooos out of a box of dimes to.:D:D:D:D

Sweet... still waiting for my "big score". The last couple of day I went through about $100 in CWR and loose halves and got jack squat.

I found my first silver dime - a 1964-D in very good shape.

It only took me 10 rolls of dimes to find it... sigh.

So, from searching about $300, I've found 2 x 1941 nickels, 1 war nickel, a dime struck through grease, and 1 silver dime. About half of my searching was in half dollars, and those were a total fail.

I'm going to pick up a box of halfs at the bank tomorrow, and if that's a bust, I think I'll give pennies a try.

20 rolls of nickels. One war nix. 4 Canadians. One impaired proof 2005 s. 11 pre-1960's including a 38 and 39 P in F. Also found 5 super pretty MS from the 90's.

    I really, really, like coins.

Merc - If I found a 1909 VDB searching rolls I'd freak out, man. FREAK OUT.

It's only worth about $10 in G... and that's probably a shade high.

Erin: It was the Wells Fargo at Alameda Mall. Totally bizare. I get coins from other branches all the time.

    Today, I found $50 in loose/CWR and it yielded 4 40%ers

And, Erin, it looks like I chose the correct Cap One to go to, my box yielded another 4 40%ers (not a huge score, but better than a shutout). With these 8, I'm only 5 away from finding my 1000th 40%er.

Congrats Erin on your find near with the customer wrapped rolls....much better than my finds today.

Thanks. Congrats on the upcoming milestone. They are always fun. My daughter ended up not spending the night with her friend so we will probably see you at the coin show and kid auction.

    Did a box of Pennies

    Netted 20 Wheats
    4 Canadians
And a sorted out the coppers.

Did find my oldest Wheat so far, a 1918.

Anybody here able to point me to a thread on cointalk about building your own copper penny coin sorter? Or any good commercial ones? Thanks.

New to roll searching, but have searched the 4 cash drawers at work every morning for almost month. No silver, but have almost completed all non silver whitmans for nickels, dimes and quarters ( minus a bunch of S mints). It's a ton of fun. Anyone know which banks are jerks when you ask for coins? I use Suntrust and a local credit union here in Orlando area. Thanks and happy hunting

US Bank has always been horrible to me save one branch 40 miles away.

Special Mint Set. Instead of proofs, they put out SMS (Basically PL coins) coins in those few years... '65-'67, IIRC.

Went through a box of pennies and found eight wheats (oldest was 1940) and 12 Canadians (including a George VI from 1948 [1947 w/maple leaf next to the seven]).
