Mark: Welcome to CT! It depends on the year and the condition. You can check out the Red Book for details. TC
Actually I believe there is. I read somewhere that a cent is actually worth 1.6 cents! Fellow collectors, please correct me if I am wrong.
is that for non wheats? because i will pick through the whole like 4 thousand pennies to pick out the coppers, haha
I disagree. Other than melt, which doesn't mean much anyway because you can't melt them, Memorials have no added value circulated.
Melt value is a good reason to hoard, though... and plenty of UNC memorial cents hold a value over face.
Ok on UNC your right....but unless you live in Canada last time I checked it was illegal to melt them!

We have one like 10x that size in our waste water treatment system here in town....its scary.....bad.... after seeing it shread that stuff, i have to laugh about one of the senior WWTP employees story : It stopped and they had to go down and check it out, and there was a 1/2inch drive, 3/4 socket that stopped it dead in its tracks.....interesting....
I was going to say!!! What I would give to drop a couple of my Carbide endmill in that sucker! I bet it would eat them, but it's going to take a couple teeth with it LOL... Don't think the gov cares if people destroy a few here and there, but hundred thousand into bars - eeeee I would keep that on the down-low.... hmmm I bet there's a bunch of plating businesses that would buy those bars up hmmmm.... opps - almost forgot - has any one seen the muffen man?
