The photo seems to be protected from copying, but click on the link to see it. it's nice looking and kind of what I've been looking for but that seller has about nothing other than toned coins...and most of them are raw. Somethings fishy, no? http://cgi.ebay.com/1918-Lincoln-Il...30?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item20b6abfbea
Could be, but the way the colors are on the coin makes it look legit to me, but I am far from an expert.
Pretty sure you'll get more responses that confirm that this seller is notorious for selling AT coins. Edit to add: Check out his feedback.
It looks a little to perfect for me I'd be a little leary of it as well. I'm no expert either but when I see colors that bright I get nervous.
You're right with the feedback, although there weren't many that complained, the ones that did all said AT....one said he could rub it off with a soft cloth. I think I'll avoid that coin. Thanks to all
once again more auctions from a seller who is known to sell AT coins. :dead-horse: its AT all the way. wouldnt touch it
I've scanned the first 1200 feedbacks, and the most incriminating thing I've seen is "honored return policy, no fuss." Care to clue us in as to what you found?
The coin you are considering is beautiful to me. I'm not sure whether it is NT or AT. If the seller has a no questions asked return policy I would go for it. The price is nice also.
Best thing to do is run a check on toolhaus.org... here's his neg/neutral feedback: http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=cwbyup1051+&Dirn=Received+by&ref=home
Too perfect to be NT , naturel toning is more random , there are no hits on the toning , which a NT coin should and would have in at least a few places . rzage
Looks like classic chem toning where you take a circular wire and apply current to while the other contact is held in the center. Am I getting warm cwbyup1051???
AT, AT, AT (did I say AT?) 0 bids, if it were real it would be slabbed and bidders would be beating the door down, stay away
Negs and neutrals are all about his coins being altered/ungradable by TPG. One buyer complained the toning on his coin wiped off!
