Is this AT?

    Was browsing the fleaBay and came across this coin. It struck me as possibly AT, what do you guys think?

    It sure looks it to me. The colors aren't even and appear chemically (liquid) applied.

    A few minutes with a silver coin above a flame will make it look a lot like that...
    That coin does not look NT at all! I would not touch it.

    i had the chance a few years back to be present when a unc roll of morgans was opened from a colored paper roll. and the end coins had a wonderfull blue gold rainbow tone one on the obv. and the other on the rev. and the oposite sides were brilliant. so not knowing the history who knows. this coin looks much the same my 2 bits worth coggie

    Howdy coggie Welcome to the Forum !!

    Nobody is saying that you can't have very colorful naturally toned coins - you certainly can. All we are saying is that in our opinions - that particular coin is not one of them.

    On the obverse looks almost like a paint run. it looks thick and raised like a liquid of some kind was applied.
