More nickels

    I've found these two Jeffersons. The 1955 has a lot of something going on with the mint mark. The 1949 mint mark looks unusual. Professional opinions?

    The first nickel seems to have a doubled mint mark. The second nickel (might be the pictures) seems to have some doubling on " OF AMERICA " and a slanted "D". Never seen any of these before and I could be totally way off. I wish I saw a better quality and close up pictures of them.

    Keep them and do more research. You might have something there.

    I don't think I have ever made a post that would help answer two different questions in two different threads in the same night. Please refer to my post in the linked thread below.

    Both the 1949-D and 1955-D have D/S varieties. I cant tell from your photos if what you have are the D/S varieties, but if you see overlapping in the mintmarks, there is a good chance that is what you have found.
